I started a party rental business!

It’s finally time to announce that I started a new business! It has been a long 8 months. Between having a baby and venturing into another new business, I’ve had no time to do home projects or any crafts for that matter. My brand new Cricut has been sitting on the shelf unused since December.

Needless to say, I have been down this road before. That is the road of opening a new business. I know what it takes to start a passion project and getting sidetracked by a different passion. I am determined to make this one stick though. I really went all in making it impossible not to work.

Just like most of my ideas, it started as a random passion project.

It all started with My daughters 3rd birthday. When I asked her what she wanted to have for her party the only thing I got from her was butterflies. I knew that I could not just do butterflies. It needed a little more pizazz. so I added in over 170 iridescent butterflies hung across the backyard and disco balls to make it a good mix of elegant and rock and roll. Right after her party, I was already on to the next. That is the moment Blossom Bounce was created. I’m not going to get into all the details on how I got started with this post. I’ll save that for a future one! This post is more so about what I got to start the business and update you guys on what’s been going on.

Want to start your own party rental business?

I put together all the steps I took and all the equipment I used just for you!

I had three main areas of party rentals I wanted to hit.

Bounce house, soft play area and Ball pits. So from there I made a vision board for each main category. The colors and feel I wanted from each category was blank white canvas with pops of color. Light, airy and easily transformable to a variety of different themes.

What I got

Bounce Houses

  • 10x10 White bounce house

  • 8x8 White bounce house

  • 8x8 rainbow bouncer

  • 8x8 rainbow boucer

Extras

  • Ball pit balls

  • Gates

  • Mats

  • Slide

Soft Play Foam pieces

  • Foamnasium

    • Tumblers

    • Gymnasium

    • Mega Wedge

    • Arch

Ball Pits

  • 3ft Round

  • 4x4 Square

  • 6x6 Square

  • 10x10

I most definitely went overboard with what I needed to get started. I knew that if I started with one bounce house I wouldn’t put much effort into renting it out. When I decided to go all in is when my vision came together. I spend every weekend setting up mock parties to show everything I have to offer. brainstorming Ideas and themes, learning how to make balloon arches.

The amount of work that goes into setting up a party is way more than I expected

If I said that it were easy I would be lying to you. It takes me, My husband and kids at least an hour to set up. and about forty-five minutes to take down. Not including packing up the van and putting it back in storage. It is a ton of work. That being said, I feel very grateful that I am able to have this opportunity to share with them. Let them in on the process and having the ability to be creative so that one day they can work for Blossom: if they choose or even run the whole business.

Lastly, The Party Supplies

Some other things I wanted to be able to add in were fully custom party supplies. Such as

  • Cake toppers

  • Cupcake toppers

  • Paper plates

  • Paper cups

  • Banners

  • Editable invitation

or lastly

  • Party in a Box

I love creating things, so this is something that came so naturally to me.

This is one of the scariest business ventures I set out on.

I put a lot of time effort and money into this already and i’m just getting started. I’m extremely nervous but also very resilient. I can’t wait to update you guys in the next few months. I’m 100% in on this and look forward to sharing it all with you along the way! All the good and bad that I learned along the way. Don’t forget to share.
